Privacy policy
Last updated 7 November 2026
In short: CinemaxTube has no accounts, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your list, your watch progress and your settings are kept only on your own device. We don't collect, sell or share personal information.
This policy covers the CinemaxTube website (cinemaxtube.com) and the CinemaxTube apps for phones, tablets and TVs (iPhone and iPad, Android, Android TV and Google TV, LG webOS and Samsung Tizen).
What stays on your device
To remember your choices, CinemaxTube saves a few things in your browser's or app's own storage on your device:
- films you add to My List, and films you hide;
- how far you got in each film, so you can resume it;
- your settings, such as the light or dark theme, TV mode and filters;
- a copy of the site's files and film images, so pages open quickly.
This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser, or by uninstalling or clearing the storage of the app.
What our server sees
When you use CinemaxTube, your device asks our server for the film catalogue, film details and images. Like any website, these requests come from your device's IP address. Our server uses requests only to answer them: it does not keep access logs, set cookies, or build any profile of you.
CinemaxTube is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects the site from attacks and may process IP addresses and basic request details for that purpose. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Watching films: YouTube
CinemaxTube does not host any films. Every film plays in YouTube's own embedded player, from the official channel of the studio or distributor that published it. When you play a film, your device connects to YouTube, and YouTube (Google) may collect information and set cookies as described in Google's privacy policy. On the website we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Film poster images also load from YouTube's image servers.
Casting to a TV
If you use the Cast button in Chrome or Edge, your browser uses Google Cast to hand the film to your Chromecast or Google TV, which then plays it in its YouTube app. This is handled by Google and your devices, not by us.
Film and cast details
Film information and cast photos are gathered by our server ahead of time from public sources, including YouTube, The Movie Database (TMDB) and Wikimedia Commons. Your device gets them from our server, so these services don't learn what you browse.
Children
CinemaxTube is a general-audience catalogue. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Film age ratings are shown where they are known.
Changes to this policy
If we change how CinemaxTube handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
